After lifting the Champions League trophy with PSG, the French winger has now been crowned the UEFA Champions League Player of the Season for 2024/25.
Dembele dazzles in historic Champions League run
If there was ever any doubt about Ousmane Dembélé’s big-game pedigree, he erased it all with one of the finest individual Champions League campaigns in recent memory.
PSG’s 5-0 demolition of Inter Milan in the final was the cherry on top, and Dembélé played a starring role, providing two assists on the night and terrorising the Inter backline from start to finish.
Across 15 appearances in the competition, the Frenchman racked up eight goals and six assists, proving instrumental in PSG's charge to their first-ever Champions League title.

Ballon d’Or buzz as Dembélé dominates
Dembélé’s Champions League heroics are just one part of an unforgettable year that could see him rack up even more individual awards.
Domestically, Dembele clinched both the Ligue 1 Golden Boot and MVP awards after a blistering season that saw him notch 33 goals and 11 assists in all competitions.
That level of consistency across multiple fronts has vaulted him into pole position for the 2025 Ballon d’Or, ahead of the likes of Raphina, Mohamed Salah, and Lamine Yamal.
With his name now headlining every major individual accolade this season, the football world is wondering: could this be the year Dembélé finally takes home the sport’s most coveted individual prize?
