Oshoala has scored her debut goal for Al-Hilal

Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala wasted no time making her mark in the Saudi Women’s League, scoring her first goal for Al-Hilal Women in their dramatic 4-3 victory over Al-Qadsiah.

The six-time African Women’s Footballer of the Year, who joined the Riyadh-based side earlier this year, found the back of the net to open her account in her new league.

The 30-year-old Nigerian star, joined Bay FC in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) in February 2024, following a successful stint with FC Barcelona Femeni. During her time in the United States, she made 25 appearances, starting 23 games, and scored seven goals while providing one assist. Overall, Oshoala played 38 games and netted eight goals.

The seven-goal thriller showcased Al-Hilal’s attacking firepower, with Oshoala playing an important role in ensuring her team secured maximum points.

Her debut strike comes as a huge boost for the reigning African champions Nigeria, with the forward expected to play a key role in the Super Falcons’ WAFCON qualifiers.

Oshoala, has now scored in every league she has played in, adding Saudi Arabia to her scoring map after successful spells in Spain, China, and Nigeria.
