Arsenal are closing in on Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres after making a move in recent weeks.
The Gunners have been monitoring the situation of the striker since the start of the transfer window, with the forward giving priority to Arsenal.

Arsenal close to an agreement
According to Fabrizio Romano, via Sportal, extensive talks have taken place in recent hours, leaving the English club confident of securing the transfer soon.
The Swedish international has reportedly agreed to terms with the Gunners and is set to sign a contract until 2030. He has no intention of negotiating with other clubs and doesn't plan to return for pre-season training with Sporting.

Sporting's preseason training begins on Monday, but according to the Mirror, Gyokeres has been granted four additional days of leave.
However, he is not expected to return to the Portuguese club. The Swede hopes that Arsenal will finalise the deal by then, which, according to CNN Portugal, will be worth €65 million plus €15 million in bonuses.
Arsenal have just unveiled Martin Zubimendi, and last week secured the signing of Kepa Arrizabalaga.
