Arsenal defender eyed by AC Milan as Arteta considers possible replacement

Arsenal is reportedly open to selling defender Jakub Kiwior, with AC Milan showing keen interest in the player ahead of the January transfer window.

Mikel Arteta, Arsenal's manager, appears ready to facilitate a move for Jakub Kiwior to AC Milan, just a year after the defender joined the Premier League club.

Gazzetta dello Sport has reported AC Milan's strong interest in Kiwior, making him a 'priority' for the upcoming transfer window. 

Arteta is said to be willing to allow Kiwior to leave if he wishes to join the Serie A giants.

Since his transfer from Italian club Spezia last January, Kiwior has struggled to secure regular playing time at Arsenal, with the club's first-choice centre-backs William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes forming a solid partnership.

AC Milan is reportedly considering both a permanent transfer and an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy the 23-year-old Polish international, who has made 19 appearances for Arsenal.

Kiwior's limited game time, including a substitution at the 64-minute mark in Arsenal's recent win at Luton, has fueled speculations of his potential exit in the January transfer window.
