‘Arrival of shame’ — Fans mock Super Eagles on return from disappointing Zimbabwe outing
Super Eagles stars returned from their trip to Zimbabwe to play against the Warriors, but have been met with a barrage of insults from fans of the national team following their disappointing 1-1 draw.
Super Eagles slammed for recent performances
Nigeria failed to win any of their two games in the international window, drawing games at home to Lesotho and away against Zimbabwe, and the team has been under fire for performances in both games.
In their most recent outing, the Super Eagles had to depend on an equaliser by substitute Kelechi Iheanacho at the Stade Huye in Zimbabwe to rescue a draw against the hosts, who are currently ranked 125th in the world in the latest FIFA rankings.
On their return to the country from Zimbabwe, the Super Eagles were slated once again by fans who were reminded of their poor performance against the Warriors.

The official handle of the Super Eagles on social media platform X posted a video of the team returning from their trip, and there were very few positive comments from fans.

They know thymeyve messed up BIGTIME.
If this is how you’ll continue to play, it’s better we don’t even qualify for the WC
The main sentiment was that the Super Eagles should be ashamed of their performances over the international break, which have put their chances of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup in jeopardy.
