As it happened

Leicester boss Steve Cooper handed forward Abdul Fatawu a start after his starring role off the bench in the 3-2 win at Southampton last weekend.

Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest are unchanged from Monday's 1-0 win over Crystal Palace. Super Eagles star Ola Aina starts while fellow countryman Taiwo Awoniyi remains on the bench.

Just 16 minutes into the kickoff, Nottingham Forest took the lead to shock the host. Leicester made a real mess of attempting to clear the corner and the ball was played to Ryan Yates on the edge of the penalty area, who hit the ball into the net.

Leicester went on to get the equaliser before halftime when in-form Jamie Vardy poked the ball past Matz Sels from a Harry Winks' excellent cross.

However, in the second half, the home side fell apart and conceded two goals to put Forest in charge of the game.

Wood gave Forest the lead just two minutes into the restart after bending a brilliant shot perfectly into the bottom corner to leave Mads Hermansen with no chance of getting to it.

The home team kept on making mistakes at the back and this time led to the third goal for the away side.

Wout Faes failed to get the ball under control and headed the ball towards the path of Chris Wood, who looped his header over the stranded Mads Hermansen.

Forest kept their lead until the final whistle and secured an important win to move just one point behind Aston Villa.
