Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has sent a message to the citizens of Nigeria.

Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa continued his recent trend of commenting on social issues with his recent post on social media.

Musa observed how the success of the national team in Ivory Coast has united the nation. Tribal, religious and political lines all blurred as Nigerians pulled towards one direction these past weeks, the Super Eagles.

The Sivasspor forward wants this unity to transcend the AFCON tournament, and he made a point to call for sustaining the state of oneness.

What Musa said

“Thank you, amazing supporters, for showcasing the true spirit of unity in the recent Super Eagles of Nigeria vs. Angola match,” the captain said on X.

“Despite our diverse tribes and religions, football unites us all. The songs, images, and videos flooding social media reflect our shared passion.

“Let's carry this unity forward—together, we can achieve anything we set our minds to! 🤝⚽ #UnityInFootball #SuperEaglesFans #OneNation #TogetherWeAchieve #FootballUnites @NGSuperEagles @thenff.”

Meanwhile, his inclusion in the tournament’s squad was heavily criticised, and he has yet to see a single minute of action at the AFCON after five games, but Ahmed Musa is one of the most accomplished players to have ever stepped on the pitch for the Super Eagles.

Via a repost on his Instagram story, the Super Eagles captain reminded his fans and critics alike of one such moment where his brilliance led Nigeria to glory.
