Salah and Klopp were involved in a much publicised bust-up during Liverpool's draw with West Ham

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah's frustration was evident after he was dropped to the bench for Liverpool's 2-2 draw against West Ham, with the Egyptian visibly unhappy with manager Jurgen Klopp when finally introduced in the 79th minute. His actions during the match, including waving his arms and berating Klopp, raised eyebrows and sparked discussions post-game.

Carragher's Critique

Carragher labelled Salah's comment as "daft," saying, "Mo Salah and Jurgen Klopp are both LFC legends. We don't need to take sides! Salah is frustrated and angry with Jurgen that he's not playing and at that moment didn't want to fully embrace the boss, Jurgen understandably took exception.

"Mo was daft with his comment in the mixed zone, but let's let them sort it out and enjoy the last few weeks together. They've been a massive help to each other in all that's been achieved at the club!'" Carragher's statement reflects the sentiment that Salah's reaction may have been ill-advised given the circumstances.

Salah's outburst was uncharacteristic, especially considering his usually composed demeanour. Klopp's nine-year tenure at Liverpool has been marked by strong connections with his players, making Salah's reaction even more surprising.

Klopp's Response

Klopp addressed the confrontation with Salah, indicating that they had already discussed the matter in the dressing room and considered it resolved. However, Klopp refrained from divulging the specifics of their conversation.

Salah's frustration seemed to carry onto the pitch, as he failed to make a significant impact after coming on as a substitute. The draw against West Ham further complicated Liverpool's pursuit of the Premier League title, leaving them third in the table, two points behind leaders Arsenal with a game in hand.

What next for Salah and Klopp

Salah's future at Liverpool has been a topic of speculation, with his existing contract having one year left to run. Despite his prolific record and immense contributions to the club, Salah has been linked with a potential exit this summer, adding another layer of uncertainty to the situation.
