Three days later, Nigeria will travel to Kigali for a date with the Amavubi (the Wasps) of Rwanda.
The match against Benin Republic holds significance for some players who are seeking revenge for the narrow 2-1 defeat Nigeria suffered against Benin Republic in the World Cup qualifiers earlier this year.
Players like Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi, and Moses Simon have expressed their determination to secure a win this time around, highlighting their impressive form for their respective clubs.
With key players like Maduka Okoye, Calvin Bassey, Samuel Chukwueze, Kelechi Iheanacho, and Victor Boniface all showcasing impressive form, the availability of these players offers a major boost for the match.
Meanwhile, Eguaveon has announced NPFL Champions coach, Fidelix Ilechukwu and Daniel Ogunmodede as his assistants for the qualifiers.
Players and the officials are expected to arrive at the Hotel in Uyo later today.
