Leicester City were relegated from the Premier League on the final day and their demotion offers the top teams an opportunity to take advantage of their star players.
1. Kelechi Iheanacho
The Super Eagles star, Kelechi Iheanacho is one of the players who certainly does not deserve to be relegated. He was unfairly maligned at times by Brendan Rodgers but his goal record suggests he should have been given more of a chance.
The Nigeria international surely offers more of a goal threat than the January loan arrival Wout Weghorst and could be an able understudy to the elite forward Ten Hag is expected to recruit this summer.
2. James Maddison
Perhaps the best of the bunch. Maddison has been Leicester City’s best player this season and it is unfortunate that his performances could not save the Foxes from relegation.
The England international is sure to be hot property this summer with sides like Newcastle, Tottenham and Liverpool reportedly interested but with Man United seeking an injection of creativity in the midfield, Maddison could be the perfect addition.
3. Harvey Barnes
Barnes has been one of Leicester’s better players over the past two seasons and deserves a move to a bigger club. Despite struggling with niggles this season, the winger finished the season with 13 PL goals to end the campaign as the Foxes’ top scorer. He will add unpredictability, goals and depth to Ten Hag’s squad.
4. Youri Tielemans
Tielemans is out of contract this summer and will represent excellent value for money for whichever team takes the punt. United have spaces in midfield and could do with an injection of fresh talent in the middle of the park alongside Casemiro.
Youri Tielemans could help plug the holes and add that extra threat of goals from deep with his incredible shot technique and eye for goal.
