FIFA are set to announce a new host nation for the U-20 World Cup after removing Indonesia as hosts.
The Flying Eagles of Nigeria will not be travelling to Indonesia for the U-20 World Cup, as FIFA has removed them as hosts of the tournament.
The competition was previously scheduled to kick off on May 20 in Indonesia, but following recent developments, FIFA are set to announce a new host nation.

Flying Eagles have twice, come close to winning the FIFA U-20 World Cup but lost in the finals to Portugal (in 1989), and Argentina (in 2005).
What happened
Following a meeting between Gianni Infantino and the President of the Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI), Erick Thonir, FIFA announced todaythat they have removed Indonesia as host of the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2023.
The football governing body said they will announce a new host as soon as possible, and that the competition will start at the previously scheduled date, allaying fears of a possible cancellation.

Why Indonesia was removed as hosts
As we reported in detail here, the U-20 World Cup previously risked cancellation as the Governor of Bali, a prominent province in Indonesia, refused the participation of Israel in the tournament.
Israel qualified for the competition, but the governor of Bali, Wayne Koster, refuses to host them, citing Israel's treatment of Palestinians as the reason, saying it is against Indonesian principles.
Wayne Koster: “We, the provincial government of Bali, declare that we reject the participation of the Israel team to compete in Bali.”
Following his declaration, the draw that was to be held in Indonesia on March 31st was cancelled.
How the Flying Eagles qualified
Meanwhile, the Flying Eagles will wait for FIFA to announce the next hosts, as they are one of the contenders for the title after qualifying via the recent U-20 AFCON.
