Egypt and Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is the most influential player in the Premier League on Instagram.

The Premier League is home to some of the biggest superstars in world football.

So it does not come as a surprise to see some big names in the division topple the rankings on Instagram when it comes to fame and influence.

However, there tends to be the endless debate and argument on which player is most influential.

Well, look no further as we will explore who exactly is the most influential player in the Premier League.

Who is the most influential player in the Premier League? 

 New research has revealed that Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah is indeed the most influential Premier League player on Instagram with a staggering 57.3 million followers. 

The research conducted by KingCasinoBonus analysed the Instagram followings of every single player in the Premier League, to find out who is the most influential player from each club.

The player with the most followers was eventually selected from each Premier League team, and their follower engagement rates and potential earnings from sponsored posts were also analysed. 

Here are the Top 20 most influential players in the Premier League with seven Brazilians making it to the list.

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah is currently the most influential Premier League player on Instagram with 57.3 million followers. 

He was found to have not only the most followers of any Liverpool player, but of any player in the Premier League. 

The Egypt international was found to receive an average of one million likes per post, an engagement rate of 1.88%, and is estimated to be earning around £156,858 per sponsored post on the social media platform.

The Aston Villa player with the most followers on Instagram is Philippe Coutinho who has 25.1 million followers, less than half that of Mohamed Salah. 

The former Liverpool, Barcelona and Bayern Munich playmaker gets on average 372,008 likes per post, has an engagement rate of 1.48%, and can make an estimated £69,509 per sponsored post, making him the second most influential Premier League player on Instagram.

Erling Haaland comes third in the list of the Premier League’s most influential players.

Haaland is not only Manchester City’s top goal scorer this season, but the 22-year-old Norwegian is also the team’s most-followed player, amassing a whopping 24.7 million followers. 

Haaland also enjoys an engagement rate of 4.27%, received on average one million likes per post and can earn up to £67,169 per sponsored post, while currently leading the Golden Boot race in England.

This is even more than the Lilywhites captain Harry Kane who has 14 million. 

Richarlison gets on average one million likes per post, has an engagement rate of 6.68% and can earn up to £59,069 per sponsored post, making him the fourth most influential player in the Premier League on Instagram.

Another Brazilian comes in ninth place as well with West Ham’s Lucas Paqueta boasting the highest number of followers in the Hammers team.

 Lucas Paquetá is West Ham’s most influential player with 9.8 million followers.

The Brazilian midfielder gets an average of one million likes per post, has an engagement rate of 11.03%, and can make up to £25,484 per sponsored post.
