Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman has been speaking about his impressive season for Atalanta including his rivalry with compatriot Victor Osimhen.
Lookman has scored 12 goals in 20 Serie A games for Atalanta this season which leaves him joint-second on the scorers' chart.
Fellow Super Eagle Victor Osimhen is the only player to have scored more league goals in Italy's top flight than Lookman this season with 16 so far which has led to comparisons between the pair.
Lookman addresses Osimhen rivalry
Lookman has been quite vocal in his ambition to overtake Osimhen and become the top scorer in Serie A this season despite being four goals behind.

"Osimhen is my rival in the scoring chart," Lookman said in an interview with L'Eco di Bergamo as reported by Calcio Atalanta.
The Nigerian forward acknowledged the competition with his compatriot but also gave the Napoli striker his flowers to clear the air on any bad blood between them.
"I really don't know who will be ahead at the end but I know him well and I can say that he is an incredible player, a top player, with exceptional characteristics: after all, anyone who sees him realizes the champion he is," Lookman said.

Lookman's ambitions this season
Lookman is in his first season in Italian football and has already surpassed expectations so far with 14 goals in 22 games across all competitions.
The in-form Nigerian also spoke on his goals for Atalanta this season, speaking on his desire to take things slow and not get ahead of himself.

“I have a goal in my head, but I don't let it influence me, in reality I prefer to think game by game, one game at a time," Lookman said.
Lookman continued, "I've never thought about records, I want to keep working to improve myself, then we'll see where I'm at in the end."
