One of the most exciting aspects of this year's tournament themed, "GamrX3 Xhodus: The Gaming Way," is the expansion of categories available for contenders.

Gamr has confirmed that participants will have the opportunity to compete across multiple genres, showcasing their prowess in a variety of video gaming titles.

This expansion not only increases the stakes of the competition but also provides a platform for gamers to explore new titles and hone their skills across different gaming experiences.

In a move aimed at catering to diverse gaming preferences this year, Gamr has curated a lineup that spans various genres, ensuring there's something for every gamer.

Among the titles revealed are the ever-popular FC 24 and Call of Duty Mobile, alongside classics like Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter.

For those with a penchant for mobile gaming, Free Fire and Candy Crush offer exciting opportunities, while rhythm game enthusiasts can showcase their skills in Just Dance.

Apex Legends rounds out the selection, promising intense battles and strategic gameplay.

With the stage set for an epic showdown, anticipation is building ahead of the tournament taking place at the prestigious Landmark Event Centre in Lagos on May 4.

In 2022, 5,000 gamers and enthusiasts from 15 African countries graced Lagos, Nigeria for the first edition of gamrX.

In 2023, 18 African countries teamed up for a signature LAN tournament that brought together the best gamers from across the continent, who compete for a total prize pool of $15,000 (N22.5 million)

The prize pool for this year remains unknown but it is expected to surpass last year’s esports prize pool.
