The mega-fight between British boxer of Nigerian descent Anthony Joshua and American Edo Man Deontay Wilder is set to finally take place soon.

The bout between Wilder and Joshua, which might take place on a program that also features Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury, appears to have received the go-ahead from both men.

Usyk and Fury already know who their next opponents will be—Daniel Dubois and Francis Ngannou, respectively—but 'AJ' and Wilder have yet to reveal who they will face.

Deontay Wilder recently spoke with ES News and acknowledged that he is now negotiating for the Anthony Joshua fight, which he hopes will be the first of two bouts.

He said, “That’s the one that’s up next. I’ll be getting in camp for that real soon.

"It’s gonna be a great, great fight between me and him [Anthony Joshua].

Wilder added that the first bout would be in Saudi Arabia and that there was a chance the rematch would occur in Africa.

Similar remarks about challenging Deontay Wilder in the future have also been made by Anthony Joshua, who recently defeated Robert Helenius via KO.

This is not the first time Wilder will hint at fighting Joshua in Africa.
