Precious Achiuwa shines for Raptors

In recent weeks, Toronto Raptors Head Coach Nick Nurse has given more playing time to Nigerian professional basketball player Precious Ezinna Achiuwa.

The 23-year-old was thrust into the starting lineup again as Ogugua "O.G." Anunoby Jr was a late scratch.

In about 34 minutes of action, he recorded 27 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to go with two steals and one block.

It was an efficient night for Achiuwa, as he made 11 of his 16 shots which includes one of two from three-point range and all four free throws with a team-high plus 27.

It was a career-high outing for Achiuwa as he continues to establish consistency in the Raptors squad.

Achiuwa in about 34 minutes of action recorded 27 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to go with two steals and one block.

Speaking after the game on his career night, Achiuwa said, "You know just coming out defensively, you know playing hard making the right reads on defense.

"You know trying to get everybody involved play the right way um you know just bringing energy to the game."

Achiuwa now returns to action for the Toronto Raptors when they take on the Phoenix Suns in their next clash scheduled for Tuesday, January 31, 2023.
