The Denver Nuggets take Game 3 win against the Miami Heat thanks to Jokic and Murray's triple-doubles.

At the Kaseya in Miami early on Thursday, June 8, 2023, the Denver Nuggets defeated the Miami Heat, 109-94, with two historic triple-double performances from Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray.

Game 3 of the NBA Finals was a decisive victory for the Nuggets.

Denver recovered from dropping Game 2 at home to take back the series' home-court advantage.

Many heroes contributed to the victory. The two greatest players on the team, though, were the largest.

The Nuggets take a 2-1 series lead with to 32 points, 21 rebounds, and 10 assists from two-time Most Valuable Player Jokic.

In addition, Jamal Murray ended with a triple-double of 34 points, 10 rebounds, and the same amount of assists, making him and Jokic the first teammates in league history to have triple-doubles of at least 30 points.

A player has only ever achieved a triple-double of 30-20-10 in the playoffs five times in NBA history. Three of the five belong to Jokic. He did so for the first time ever in the Finals.

Because their two stars performed excellently in the most crucial situation, the Nuggets reached the stage where they are two victories away from their first championship.

For the Nuggets, who will attempt to bury the Heat beneath a 3-1 deficit in their upcoming game, Christian Braun came off the bench to deliver 15 points.

For the first time in this series, the Nuggets competed in the fourth quarter and prevailed by one point.

As the Heat were held to 37% shooting and a 102.2 offensive rating, this was the Nuggets' strongest defensive performance of the series.

Bam Adebayo contributed 22 points and 17 rebounds to Jimmy Butler's 28 points to lead the Heat, who will try to level the series in Game 4 on Saturday.
