Cooper Flagg, the standout freshman who lit up the NCAA this past season, has sparked wild speculation after Duke’s official social media account posted photos of him grinding in the gym.

While no official word has come from Flagg’s camp regarding his NBA Draft decision, the sight of him training at Duke already has the Blue Devils fans losing their minds, all thanks to one simple post.

One passionate supporter posted under the photos on X: “Do not do this to us please,” while another wrote: “The NBA isn't going anywhere, you only get to go to Duke once. You'll be top pick no matter what year you go to draft. Run it back Coop and get that 6th title!!!”

Perhaps the boldest declaration came from a fan who simply said: “oh yea he’s coming back it’s over,” encapsulating the emotions rippling through the Duke faithful.

However, not everyone was convinced, with some urging caution, reminding the fanbase: “Y’all need to chill. He’s the #1 pick. He’s not coming back.”

Flagg’s freshman campaign was nothing short of remarkable.

The 18-year-old Maine native averaged an impressive 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game, leading the Blue Devils across all major statistical categories.

Defensively, Flagg was equally dominant, posting 1.4 steals and 1.4 blocks per contest.

Flagg’s heroics throughout March Madness, defeating the likes of Alabama, Arizona, Baylor, and Mount Saint Mary's, has only solidified his status as a surefire NBA lottery pick.

Initially the top recruit in the class of 2024, Flagg turned down offers from powerhouse programmes like UConn and Kansas to don the iconic Duke jersey.

Now, should he declare, he is almost guaranteed to be the No. 1 overall pick, with the Utah Jazz, Washington Wizards, and Charlotte Hornets all vying for that golden ticket.

However, he still has until April 26 to officially decide his future.

Whether he stays or goes, Cooper Flagg’s next move will certainly shake the basketball world to its core.
