Nigeria's Gabe Vincent provided a monster game as the Miami Heat are now 1 win away from NBA Finals after beating Boston Celtics in Game 3.

Nigerian-American professional basketball player Gabriel Nnamdi Vincent scored a career-high 29 points as the Miami Heat recorded a 128-102 victory over visiting Boston Celtics in the early hours of Monday, May 22, 2023.

In Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Sunday, the Miami Heat turned out the lights and left the Boston Celtics in the dark.

The eighth-seeded Heat will reach the NBA Finals for the second time in four seasons if they put on a similar display in Game 4 on Tuesday in Miami.

It turned out to be yet another lopsided contest in contest 3 between the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat.

The Miami Heat grabbed a dominating 3-0 lead in the seven-game series after winning the first two games at TD Garden.

With a 26-point blowout of the Celtics, the Heat maintained their undefeated home playoff record and moved one victory closer to their second trip to the NBA Finals in four seasons.

Gabe Vincent inspires Miami Heat to Game 3 win

Due to their position as the eighth seed, the Miami Heat have assembled a team using undervalued players to their advantage.

In Game 3, Gabe Vincent rather than Jimmy Butler was a key player.

Throughout the whole game, Vincent put up a performance that set a new career high for him.

For his efforts both during the game and after, the 6'3 point guard received praise.

Gabe Vincent, a Heat guard, surpassed everyone else on the court, even his teammates.

The Miami Heat and the rest of the team started out with a goal in mind.

The Heat scored 30 points or more in each of the first three quarters to establish a sizable lead going into the fourth.

Jayson Tatum of Boston scored 14 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and Jaylen Brown added 12, but they combined to hit just 12 of 35 field goal attempts and just one of fourteen three-point attempts.

Including 6-of-9 from three-point range, Vincent hit 11 of his 14 field goal attempts, and Duncan Robinson and Caleb Martin each added 22 and 18 points off the bench.

The Heat took control of the game by outscoring the second-seeded Celtics by a 32-17 advantage in the third quarter, led by 13 points from Bam Adebayo and 10 points from Max Strus.

Jimmy Butler led the eighth-seeded Miami Heat with 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists.

The Celtics are facing an uphill battle. In NBA history, no team has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit to win a series.

Before Tuesday's Game 4 of the best-of-seven series in Miami, the Heat increased their home playoff record to 6-0.
