The NBA icon LeBron James's freshman son Bronny is entering the NBA Draft and the transfer portal, he said on Instagram.
Less than five months after being hospitalized after suffering a heart collapse during a summer practice at USC, the former four-star recruit made his college debut on December 10 against Long Beach State.

He went on to play in 25 games for the Trojans.
James averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists while making six starts in the 2023–24 campaign.
He wrote, "I've had a year with some ups and downs but all added to growth for me as a man, student and athlete.

"I've made the decision to enter the NBA Draft while maintaining my college eligibility, and will also be entering the NCAA transfer portal.
"Thank you to USC for an amazing freshman year, and as always thankful for my family, friends, doctors, athletic trainers and fans for their support."
James' draft stock is seen as mysterious because his season-long statistics weren't particularly impressive, but it won't stop a team from selecting him in the first round.

Since it's one of the worst top draft classes in almost a decade, the 2024 NBA Draft class is mysterious.
In the end, that might help James and persuade him to enter the draft if a team wishes to take a chance on an upside prospect.
