18-year-old James Ugochukwu Nnaji continues to show signs of development with Barcelona.
Barcelona recorded a 93-74 blowout victory against Žalgiris Kaunas in an Euro League group fixture played on Thursday, March 2, 2023.
It was the first game for Barcelona after a six-day break without domestic or continental basketball.
Playing in front of their home fans at the Palau Blaugrana, Barcelona were not able to create much separation from Žalgiris Kaunas as they took a two-point lead at the end of the first quarter.
Led by star forward Nikola Mirotic, Barcelona dominated the second quarter to take a 10-point lead to the halftime break.
The Catalans side came back from the break to run riot against Žalgiris Kaunas as they dropped 31 points to extend the lead to 23 at the end of the third quarter.
Žalgiris Kaunas a massive Lithuanian side showed pride in the fourth quarter trying to cut the lead but Barcelona held on record a 19-point blowout victory.
James Nnaji shines for Barcelona against Žalgiris Kaunas
Nigerian basketball youngster James Nnaji was again in action for Barcelona on the European stage.
The 18-year-old big man was named on the bench by Barcelona Head coach Šarūnas Jasikevičius for the game against Žalgiris Kaunas.

As part of teh second unit, Nnaji featured for eight minutes and contributes five points and three rebounds.
Nnaji made two of his three shots but struggled from the free-throw line going one of four.
He continues to get good minutes to help his development in the second-biggest basketball league in the world.
Nnaji returns to action for Barcelona when they take on Basket Zaragoza in their next league fixture scheduled for Saturday, February 4, 2023.
