Dreams to Reality: The power of writing down goals as Elaine Thompson-Herah's tweet resurfaces online.

When Elaine Thompson-Herah successfully defended her Olympic sprint titles at the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games, she automatically propelled herself as one of the greatest female sprinters in history.

Thompson-Herah didn't just do the rare 100m and 200m double, but she won them in record-breaking 10.61s (Olympic Record) and 21.53s (then second-fastest and now third-fastest time in history).

In addition, she was part of the Jamaican women's 4x100m relay team that won gold in the third-fastest time ever and a new National Record of 41.02s to regain a title last won at the 2004 Athens Games.

Her iconic performances in Tokyo meant she inclined her name as the first female sprinter, and the second after Usain Bolt, to win the "sprint double" at consecutive Olympics (Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020).

Also, the additional relay gold made her the third sprinter after Florence Griffith-Joyner and Bolt to complete an Olympic sprints triple.

Thompson-Herah ended the 2021 season by lowering her 100m Personal Best to 10.54s - cementing her name as the fastest woman alive and the undisputed living track queen to achieve the rare Olympic feats.

After her successful season, the five-time Olympic champion and world championships medallist will later reveal via a tweet that she had accomplished all her written-down goals as an athlete.

"If you never try, you'll never know. You are what you manifest. I had it all written down. #hisplan#hiswillhiswaymyfaith#believeinyourself," wrote Thompson-Herah.

The post, which recently resurfaced online, has now made many believe in the power of writing down goals for a long-term reality.

With Paris 2024 Olympics on the horizon, Thompson-Herah will be gunning to improve on these accomplishments by becoming the first female sprinter in history to do a three-peat of Olympic sprint titles.
