The 38-year-old Jamaican sprint queen who kicked off her season at the Velocity Fest 17 in Kingston last weekend, where she clocked a blistering 10.94s (+3.1m/s) to win the women's 100m event, cleared the air when asked on her retirement plans.

"I haven’t confirmed that (retirement), so when I do, I’ll let you know,” she said.
Rumours on Fraser-Pryce's retirement began after the Jamaican sprint queen posted an inspiring video on her Instagram page with the title: 'unfinished business', which engulfed moments of her legendary career that saw her become a five-time world 100m champion and two-time Olympic gold medallist.
Shortly after this, a representative from her camp confirmed it as her final season, with many track fans and enthusiasts already embracing and looking forward to moments of her final performances on the track.
