Sha'Carri Richardson's boyfriend Christian Coleman has a record and bragging right over Usain Bolt, which undeniably ranks him highly among the greatest sprinters in history.

Jamaican legend Usain Bolt was considered nearly unbeatable in major sprint competitions as only a handful of sprinters ever defeated him in a race - Sha'Carri Richardson's boyfriend Christian Coleman belongs in that rare category.

The 28-year-old boasts of a career profile that ranks him as one of the greats in the sport, highlighted by being a world record holder, world indoor and outdoor champion, and is the fourth man alongside Justin Gatlin, Tyson Gay, and Yohan Blake to have beaten Bolt before his retirement.

Aside from this, Coleman has a record and bragging right over the sprinting legend, which undeniably ranks him highly among the greatest sprinters in history.

On that note, here's a look at the iconic details of the sprint star's career over the Olympic icon.

1 - 60m World Record

Usain Bolt is considered the greatest sprinter in the track running domain, having clocked the 100m and 200m World Record (WR) of 9.58s and 19.19s yet to be broken after his retirement. However, there's one feat Coleman has over him - the 60m WR.

On February 18, 2018, at the US Indoor Championships in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Coleman clocked a new WR of 6.34s in the 60m final to break Maurice Greene's near 20-year-old record of 6.39s.

By doing this, the Atlanta native engraved his name as the greatest 60m sprinter ever, having two of the top 5 fastest times ever recorded in the event and the only man to run under the sub-6.35s mark.

2 - Ended Usain Bolt's unbeaten streak at a major championship

One of Coleman's bragging rights is ending the Jamaican's dominance and unbeaten streak at a major championship.

After his remarkable college year at the University of Tenessee in 2017, Richardson's boyfriend achieved a significant breakthrough on the international stage when he turned professional and signed with Nike.

He qualified for the 2017 World Championships in London - his first international stage that marked his rise as a force in the elite league of the world's best sprinters.

In a highly anticipated semifinal race at the championship, Coleman clocked 9.97s to edge the legendary Bolt by 0.01s - a feat last achieved by Justin Gatlin in 2013. Not resting on his oars, he proved his victory was no fluke by defeating him again in the final in 9.94s to win silver behind Gatlin, while Bolt settled for the bronze medal.

His double victory over the sprint icon positions him as the first and last sprinter to beat Bolt twice in any championship.

“I lost the race to a great competitor,” said Bolt, after the final race. “I came third to a young kid that’s coming up… He has a great talent and a great future ahead of him.”

Coleman is undoubtedly one of the greatest sprinters in history, with more to accomplish in the coming years before retirement.

He will be gunning to bounce back to title or medal-winning ways this year by making the US team and medalling at the World Championships in Tokyo this summer, with his girlfriend Richardson also aiming to defend her 100m world title - a feat if successful by the lovebirds will make them the world's fastest couple.
