The Super Eagles keep flying as Eric Chelle's side beat Algeria 2-0, dominating offensively and shutting out the Desert Eagles defensively in a game which featured exceptional performances from multiple individuals in the squad.

Here is how each player performed in the 2-0 victory against Algeria:

Stanley Nwabali (6.5/10):

Stanley Nwabali's aggression worked excellently in the Super Eagles' favour. While he did not have saves to make, with Algeria managing zero shots on target, he was brave and aggressive while claiming crosses, dampening the Foxes' aerial threat.

Bright Osayi-Samuel (7.5/10):

Nigeria's fullbacks raised their game today, with Bright Osayi-Samuel having an exceptional defensive outing. In terms of pure defensive actions, he was the Super Eagles' standout player, snuffing out any danger the Foxes had on that side of the pitch.

Semi Ajayi (7/10):

Semi Ajayi was solid at the back. Again, Algeria did not manage a single shot on target, and Ajayi's efforts largely contributed to the Super Eagles getting their second clean sheet of the tournament.

Calvin Bassey (7/10):

His place in the team of the season must be sealed at this point. Another fabulous display from the Fulham star. His strength and defensive awareness made the Super Eagles' defence impregnable, and as usual, he led the build-up.

Bruno Onyeamachi (7/10):

Riyah Mahrez was yanked off at the hour mark due to ineffectiveness; no stronger exhibit underscores Bruno Onyeamachi's defensive impregnability on the day. Offensively? He raised his game several notches, assisting Nigeria's first goal through a sumptuous cross, and creating two more excellent chances in the game.

Wilfred Ndidi (6.5/10)

Captain Wilfred Ndidi will be sorely missed when the Super Eagles rock up to face hosts Morocco in the semi-final, as he picked up a suspension-enforcing yellow card. However, his immense outing ensured there was a semi-final to play. He was solid defensively and showed technical proficiency.

Frank Onyeka (6.5/10)

Frank Onyeka's presence makes Nigeria's midfield work; that much is clear. The Super Eagles suffocated Algeria for most of the game, and Onyeka's aggressive pressing was integral to that outcome.

Alex Iwobi (8.5/10)

Another mesmerising display from Alex Iwobi in the middle of the park during the victory against Algeria. Iwobi's playmaking was central to how Nigeria attacked and managed to break the Algerian block.

He had the pre-assist for Nigeria's two goals and created the big chance which Akor Adams should have scored in the first half. When the Super Eagles go on to win the tournament, Iwobi's performance in this campaign will no doubt cement his name in the pantheon of Nigerian greats.

Ademola Lookman (6/10)

It was not Lookman's best game in a Super Eagles shirt by any stretch of the imagination, but it was far from his worst either. He carried threat and combined well with his attack partners, but was too ponderous in multiple shooting situations.

Akor Adams (7/10)

He should have gotten a hat-trick. His profligacy aside, the Sevilla man had a brilliant outing. He was a thorn in the side of Algeria's defenders and scored Nigeria's comfort goal.

Victor Osimhen (8/10)

Much has been made about Osimhen's attitude in the last game against Mozambique, as he berated his teammates for not passing the ball and audibly yelled, "It's a team game" to Lookman. The Galatasaray walked his talk today, creating two big chances for Akor Adams, one of which led to a goal. He also scored the opener, a towering header to beat Luca Zidane.
