Stuhlmann, who boasts over 300,000 Instagram followers, had excitedly announced on social media that she would be stepping in as a "last-minute coach" for a friend at the tournament.

Sharing her official Australian Open pass, Stuhlmann explained that she had initially come to Melbourne with other plans but received a call asking her to coach for the event.

"I'm beyond excited for the chance to get on the AO courts and support her in any way I can," she wrote. The player she was assisting was veteran Varvara Lepchenko.

However, Lepchenko has since been eliminated from the tournament, meaning Stuhlmann's coaching role has concluded sooner than anticipated.

There remains a slim chance Lepchenko could re-enter the competition as a "lucky loser" if another player withdraws, but this is unlikely.

Despite the early exit, Stuhlmann appears to be enjoying her time at Melbourne Park, continuing to post photos and videos from the event on her social media.

Before her career as an influencer, Stuhlmann was a promising tennis player herself.

Ranked 68th in her class and 59th nationally by the Tennis Recruiting Network, she played college tennis at the University of Missouri (Mizzou), where she majored in Nutrition and Fitness.

While she recognised her potential to play professionally, she opted against pursuing a touring career, citing the demanding lifestyle.

"I didn't want to live the lifestyle that came along with playing in small cities and essentially living out of a car," she told The Sun.

She has been reporting on tennis at international tournaments and creating content on TikTok and Instagram.
