Aruna is expected to begin his campaign in the main draw, where he will face top seeds such as Japan's Tomokazu Harimoto, Brazil's Hugo Calderano, Chinese Taipei's Lin Yun-Ju, and Germany's title candidates Dimitrij Ovtcharov and Dang Qiu.

Arican champion Quadri Aruna has been named as a contender in the WTT Contender Muscat in Oman and will be looking for his maiden WTT crown.

The Nigerian will also be attempting to improve his world ranking in order to qualify for the end-of-year WTT Finals.

Pulse Sports reports that the world number 16 joined Khaleej Club in the lucrative Saudi Arabia league and was given a wildcard to compete in Muscat.

Meanwhile, WTT Champions Frankfurt organizers have identified Aruna as one of the top 30 players travelling to the German city of Frankfurt for the $500,000 prize money tournament.
