Egypt’s Omar Assar has overtaken Nigeria’s Quadri Aruna as the best-ranked African player in the world, according to the 2024 week 12 ranking released by ITTF.
In the 2024-week 11 rankings released by the International Table Tennis Federation, Quadri Aruna was Africa's top Table Tennis player, ranked 11th in the world.
However, Egypt’s Omar Assar has now displaced him, having climbed five places in the recently released rankings, while Nigeria's Quadri Aruna dropped eight places in the pecking order.
