Super Eagles: Maduka Okoye gifts Enugu State governor Udinese Jersey
Super Eagles and Udinese FC goalkeeper Maduka Okoye met up with Enugu State Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah.
The meet up happened at the Lion Building in Enugu, where Okoye presented a goalkeeping Udinese jersey to the Enugu State Governor.
This gesture was occurred during Okoye’s courtesy visit to the the leadership of the state.

Okoye, born in Düsseldorf, Germany, to an Igbo Nigerian father and a German mother is one of the key players in the Super Eagles.
Currently plying his trade in Italy’s Serie A with Udinese, Okoye has become a one of the key players for his team.
The Governor announced the visit of Okoye through photos on his official social media platforms.
Along with the photos was a message that said, "Today, I had the pleasure of receiving the Super Eagles and Udinese star goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye, at the Lion Building.
"A true son of Enugu, Maduka is not just making us proud on the national and global stage, he is also poised to give back.
"He shared his vision to launch a charitable foundation and establish a football academy right here in Enugu, to inspire young talents, nurture future stars, and touch lives.
"In recognition of his achievements and commitment, I’m proud to appoint him as an Ambassador of Enugu State.
"He will serve as a role model to our children, especially those in our Smart Green Schools, and inspire a new generation of dreamers and achievers.
"To support his football academy, I have committed to providing land for the project.

"I also invited him to participate in the next edition of Enugu International Marathon, which will feature elite runners from around the world.
"At the heart of our vision is the youth – their talent, passion, and future. And with proud sons like Maduka Okoye, Enugu is truly rising."
This comes after Okoye visited his father’s neighborhood in Enugu State and toured his roots in Amechi Uwani, Enugu South Local Government Area.
The visit also included a stop at his father’s old primary school and meeting with local children.
They also come after Okoye created a way for Africans to connect in Germany, participating in a vibrant community event organized by AFC Germany and BK West United FC in Düsseldorf.
