‘Will you marry me?’ – Arsenal star boy Bukayo Saka pops the question, engages long-time girlfriend

Saka and Benson, also 24, began their relationship in 2020 but have largely kept it private. Their romance first came into the public eye during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where Benson was seen supporting Saka from the stands alongside other England players' partners.

She has continued to be a fixture at his matches, notably attending Euro 2024 wearing a jacket emblazoned with the number 87, a tribute to Saka's first senior squad number at Arsenal. 

The couple was also photographed sharing a kiss on the pitch after England's goalless draw with Slovenia in June.

Sources close to the couple revealed that the 24-year-old football star spared no expense for the special occasion, presenting Benson with what was described as an "enormous" engagement ring.

"Bukayo went all out for the proposal," an insider shared. "He’d organised a special night at a top London hotel and proposed there. It was incredibly special and Tolami was totally blown away."

Benson, who is originally from Hatfield, is a graduate of Birmingham University, where she studied public relations and media. She currently works as a senior planning executive in London.

Saka recently played a key role for the Three Lions in their World Cup qualifiers, scoring the opening goal in a 2-0 victory against Serbia. 

He is set to return to club action this Sunday as Arsenal faces Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium after helping his team claim a 3-1 win over Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League.
