We still have hope — Man City captain Bernardo Silva ready to chase Arsenal until the end

Bernardo Silva has warned Arsenal that Manchester City are ready to fight until the last day to reclaim their Premier League crown.

Manchester City are now 7 points behind Arsenal, after the Gunners defeated Leeds 4-0 to restore their healthy advantage.

Speaking ahead of City’s high-stakes clash against Tottenham on Sunday, Silva reflected on a volatile January that saw both title contenders drop crucial points.

Despite City’s own inconsistencies, including a derby loss to Manchester United earlier this month, the Portuguese midfielder believes Arsenal failed to deliver a knockout blow.

"Recently, I’ve said that both teams would still lose points, but unfortunately, we started the year in a bad way," Silva commented.

"We could have gained an emotional edge, but we didn’t. And then they could have pulled away from us, but they didn’t. So, they gave us a little hope."

Experience Over Momentum With the gap at the summit sitting at just four points before the weekend's fixtures, Silva pointed to City’s serial-winning history as a decisive factor.

Having won six titles during his time in England, he noted that the prospect of an Arsenal triumph still feels like a "strange sensation" for the league.

"There are still a lot of games to be played and every season is different," Silva added. "Without a doubt, we still have hope and ambition to fight for this Premier League."

Victory against Tottenham will move Pep Guardiola's men back to within four points of the Gunners. However, with the unpredictability of the league this season, even if City drop points, they will not consider the race over.
