We are back — Chelsea legend John Terry declares after Blues dramatic West Ham comeback

Chelsea legend John Terry has boldly proclaimed the Blues are back following a sensational comeback victory against West Ham at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues appeared to be heading for their first league loss under new manager Liam Rosenior after West Ham stormed to a 2-0 first-half lead.

Jarrod Bowen opened the scoring early for the visitors, and Crysencio Summerville doubled their advantage before the break, raising hopes for the relegation-threatened side.

Just as a draw seemed inevitable, team captain Enzo Fernandes struck in injury time, sending the home crowd into a frenzy and securing a vital three points.

The victory marks Chelsea's sixth win in seven matches since Rosenior took over from Enzo Maresca. The new manager's only loss has been a Carabao Cup fixture against Arsenal. Under Rosenior's guidance, Chelsea have climbed from fifth to a top-four position and have also advanced to the Champions League knockout stages.

Reacting to the thrilling win on TikTok, Terry was ecstatic. "What a result for Chelsea, what a result," the former captain said. "We are back, we are back. Chelsea are back. What a result and how good are late goals, especially when you come from behind."

He added, "Chelsea are back, West Ham are gone. The most important thing is Chelsea are back. Great result boys, well done."

After the match, Rosenior praised his team's resilience. "That’s football – it was a game of two halves," he commented. "West Ham were by far the better team in the first half. Our energy and quality wasn’t there. We were lethargic, made tired decisions... and they deserved to be 2-0 up.

"Hopefully that can kick-start us into a really good end to the season."
