Victor Osimhen: Napoli star face punishment after attempting to force move away from club
The transfer saga involving the Napoli star got to a breaking point after Chelsea failed to persuade him to leave Italy.
The likes of PSG, Chelsea and Al Ahli were all interested in signing the striker but could not negotiate a deal with Napoli.
Osimhen was about to be loaned to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, but the Nigerian was only being offered a pitiful wage.
Osimhen’s punishment
According to reports, Osimhen will not be playing for Napoli's first team due to his failed attempts to force a move away from the club.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio on X, ”Victor #Osimhen stays at @sscnapoli and should be out of the squad.”

It's official now that Osimhen will remain at Napoli until the next transfer window, at the very least, after the madness of deadline day.
Osimhen has been frozen out of the team and will not be part of Antonio Conte’s squad for the season.
Napoli has brought in a replacement for the forward after confirming the signing of Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea.
Antonio Conte prefers his latest signing, Romelu Lukaku, over Osimhen in his season-long plans.
