Victor Oladipo: Miami Heat trade injured Afrobeats star to Oklahoma City
Nigerian-American professional basketball player Kehinde Babatunde Victor Oladipo rose to the top of the trends on Saturday, July 1, 2023.
Oladipo was involved in NBA free agency, changing teams from the Miami Heat to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Oladipo played for three teams over the following six seasons after spending the 2016–17 season with the Thunder.
The seasoned wing is currently reportedly going back to Oklahoma City injured.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Heat are sending Oladipo to the Thunder after he spent more than two seasons there.
The action will provide the Heat a $9.45 million trade exception to help rebuild after losing to the Denver Nuggets in the NBA Finals.
Oladipo traded injured
Oladipo was moved from the Rockets to the Heat for the 2020–21 season after he was originally selected by the Magic in 2013.
Throughout his time in Miami, he struggled with injuries, playing in just 54 games overall.
His 2022–23 season was cut short by a torn patellar tendon that occurred late in Game 3 of the Heat's first-round series against the Bucks.

According to listing agent Liz Hogan of Compass, Oladipo has listed his Miami Beach property for $9.995 million.
According to Hogan, the nearly 6,500-square-foot house is situated on guarded Hibiscus Island, which is south of the Venetian Islands.
