Ulrika Jonsson speaks out about Sven-Goran Eriksson's terminal cancer diagnosis, slams former partner

Despite their past affair, Jonsson has chosen to remain mostly silent on the subject, reflecting a complex mix of personal history and current emotions.

Jonsson, who had an affair with Eriksson back in 2002, responded to the news of his diagnosis with a notable lack of comment. 

On Instagram, she posted a throwback photo of herself, captioning it with "Look at me being all young and all that," followed by, "I don’t have anything to say about Sven. #nada. Not a decent person". 

This response hints at a complicated past and perhaps unresolved feelings about their relationship and its public scrutiny.

The news about Eriksson's health came as a shock to many. The 75-year-old former England manager revealed on Swedish radio that he has a terminal cancer diagnosis, with possibly a year or less to live. 

This revelation followed an incident where he collapsed during a run, which led to the discovery of both a stroke and cancer. 

Eriksson expressed a fighting spirit, stating, as reported by Daily Star, "But I have to fight as long as I can," and emphasized the importance of staying positive in the face of such adversity.

The affair between Ulrika Jonsson and Sven-Goran Eriksson was a significant media story in the early 2000s. It occurred while Eriksson was in a relationship with Nancy Dell'Olio, and became public knowledge around the time he was managing the England national team. 

The affair was later confirmed by Eriksson in his 2013 memoir, where he detailed how they met and the nature of their relationship. 

Jonsson had also spoken publicly about the affair, expressing disappointment in Eriksson's actions and his decision to stay with Dell'Olio at the time.

Eriksson's career as a football manager was marked by notable achievements, including managing England's 'Golden Generation' and his tenure at clubs like Manchester City, Leicester, and Notts County. 

His last role was with the Philippines national team, but he stepped down shortly after due to health issues.
