UEL: Injured Manchester United stars named in squad for Sevilla
Manchester United have received a big boost ahead of their all-important Europa League quarterfinal clash against Sevilla.
United have named Marcus Rashford and Marcel Sabitzer in their travelling 21-man squad to Seville after the players returned to training.
The Red Devils are visitors in Andalusia this Thursday to decide who progresses to the semifinal of the Europa League following a 2-2 draw in the first leg.
Rashford and Sabitzer boost for the Reds
The England international suffered a muscle injury during United’s 2-0 win over Everton in the Premier League on April 13.
Consequently, Rashford missed the first leg of the Europa League quarterfinal tie against Sevilla at Old Trafford and was expected to miss a few more games after that.
However, the 25-year-old was one of the surprised faces seen during United’s training ahead of the second leg on Thursday.
Rashford back in training
He was spotted alongside Luke Shaw, Sabitzer, who withdrew before kickoff against Nottingham Forest, and Tyrell Malacia.
United fans will be the happiest to see the players back and training with their teammates having initially been ruled out for a while.
Rashford has been superb this season for the Reds, scoring 28 goals in 47 appearances across all competitions.
The likes of Shaw, Sabitzer and Malacia have also played important roles for United throughout the season with on-loan Austrian, scoring both goals in the first leg against Sevilla.
