Ethan Nwaneri has officially agreed to leave Arsenal and join Ligue 1 giants Marseille on a six-month loan deal, after struggling for game time at the Emirates.
The 18-year-old, who made history as the youngest player in Premier League history, has found first-team minutes hard to come by this season following the high-profile summer arrivals of Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke.
Despite signing a new long-term contract until 2030 last August, Nwaneri has accumulated just 166 minutes of league action, failing to make the squad for Arsenal's last four fixtures.
Nwaneri agrees to join Marseille on loan
According to Fabrizio Romano, the move was heavily facilitated by Mikel Arteta, who held personal discussions with Marseille boss Roberto De Zerbi.

OM to cover salary + loan fee around €4m based on appearances.

Arteta reportedly views the Italian’s attacking philosophy as the "ideal finishing school" for the Hale End graduate.
The deal is a straight loan with no option to buy, ensuring Nwaneri returns to North London in June.
Interestingly, the agreement includes a unique incentive structure: a sizeable loan fee of approximately €4 million that actually reduces the more Nwaneri plays, guaranteeing he receives the competitive experience Arsenal desires.
