Tottenham vs Man City: Spurs hand Arsenal favour in title race as City stumble
The Citizens head into the difficult clash with four points behind the Premier League leaders, Arsenal, on the table
Following Arsenal's 4-0 thrashing of Leeds United on Saturday afternoon, Pep Guardiola’s men needed a win to get the points back to four points.
However, they failed to hold on to their first-half two-goal lead and were pegged back by Tottenham, with the game ending 2-2 at Tottenham Stadium.
As it happened
Erling Haaland led the attack for Man City, with Rodri in midfield, as Guardiola looks to close the gap to four points on the league table.
Tottenham, on the other hand, have been struggling in their last six Premier League games and have failed to get a win.
The visitors started the game brightly and a defensive mistake from Tottenham led to Rayan Cheki scoring the opening goal.
Just before the half-time whistle, Antoine Semenyo doubled the lead for Guardiola's side, putting them in a comfortable lead.
In the second half, Tottenham changed their approach, which helped their movement attacking-wise.
The change led to Spurs equalising the two goals conceded, with Dominic Solanke scoring a brace to get his team back in the game.
Spurs had many opportunities to get the winning goal, but could not convert their chances and could only settle for a 2-2 draw
