Beşiktaş entered the market for a new forward after Tammy Abraham's loan spell was cut short, paving the way for his return to Aston Villa.

This left the Istanbul-based club with a void in their attack, prompting their interest in Arokodare as the winter transfer window nears its conclusion.

Arokodare to Besiktas?

According to reports from Turkish outlet Fanatik, Beşiktaş coach Sergen Yalçın is keen to sign a traditional number nine. With El-Bilal Touré as his primary remaining option, whom he prefers to deploy on the left wing, the club identified Arokodare as a key target.

However, Wolves swiftly rejected the €15 million proposal. The Premier League club has reportedly set a much higher asking price for the striker, believed to be in the region of €25-30 million.

Having only joined Wolves from KRC Genk last summer in a deal worth a reported €26 million, the club is unwilling to incur a financial loss on the player so soon after his arrival.

Furthermore, with Norwegian striker Jørgen Strand Larsen close to completing a move to Crystal Palace, Arokodare is expected to see increased playing time at Molineux. The club is reluctant to part with another attacker as they navigate a challenging season.

While Arokodare's personal preference on the move remains unknown, the prospect of playing for a top-tier Turkish side could be an attractive alternative to potentially playing in the Championship next season.
