Nigeria's hurdling queen Tobi Amusan will forego her trademark event - the 100mH, to compete in the 100m B race at the Racers Grand Prix in Jamaica on Saturday, June 7.
The meet is part of the World Athletics Continental Tour Silver series, majorly used as a build-up for Jamaican athletes ahead of their national championships.
Amusan, who now trains in Jamaica with renowned Usain Bolt's coach Glen Mills, will test her flat speed against a respectable field that includes Jamaican rising sensation Sabrina Dockery, who has a season's best performance of 11.08s.
Others are Jonelle Smith, Serena Cole, Ashanti Moore, Jura Levy, and Liranyi Alonso.
Despite racing against established sprinters, Amusan is still the favourite to win as her time of 11.28s early in the season is impressive enough, and considering her string of impressive performances in her past few hurdling races, she's definitely in shape to lower the time.
The world record holder in the women's 100mH, blazed to her first hurdles victory of the season at the Rabat Diamond League two weeks ago, where she clocked a brilliant time of 12.44s.
She'll be aiming for another win this time as she continues preparations ahead of the World Championships in Tokyo in September.
