‘Time for hot Amala’ - Victor Boniface set for Nigeria return after Leverkusen setback

Victor Boniface was in action as Bayer Leverkusen's unbeaten run came to an end at home to RB Leipzig.

Lois Openda was the star of Leipzig's thrilling 3-2 victory at the BayArena on Saturday night as they overcame a two-goal deficit.

Boniface is looking forward to playing for Nigeria this week as they prepare for their AFCON qualifiers.

The forward took to his social media account to express his happiness and said it was time to taste one of his best foods.

The striker tweeted on X, “Tough one last night…..see you in 2 weeks. Time for that hot amala for Lagos to reset again.”

The Bayer Leverkusen striker is expected to be in action for the Super Eagles when they face Benin Republic this weekend.

Meanwhile, Nigeria will be looking to get back on track in their AFCON qualifiers after failing to win their first three games.
