‘This is a great opportunity’ - Super Eagles legend urges Lazio to permanent Dele-Bashiru’s transfer

Fisayo made a move to Lazio from Hatayspor on loan during the 2024 summer transfer window. The deal also includes an option to buy for a fee worth €4 million at the end of the current season.

Since his move to Lazio, the Nigerian international has been in sensational form, with his team currently fourth on the Serie A table.

Bashiru continued his fine form, scoring Lazio’s first goal against Atalanta in their 1-1 draw yesterday.

Taye Taiwo has asked Lazio to make Bashiru’s move permanent following his outstanding performance this season.

According to Africa Foot, He said, “I would prefer to sign for Lazio because the scene is much more prestigious. 

“He has already proved his worth since his arrival, with five-goal contributions in 13 games for a midfielder. This represents a great opportunity, for Dele-Bashiru, Lazio and Hatayspor.”

The Super Eagles star has shown his quality, scoring four goals and providing two assists in all competition for Lazio.

Lazio is presently six points behind Ademola Lookman's Atalanta, who are top of the league table.
