McLaughlin-Levrone and her husband met in 2020, and they tied the knot just two years later.
At the Paris 2024 Olympics Games, where she successfully defended her 400mH title in a new World and Olympic Record of 50.37s - her sixth time breaking the WR in her career, Andre Levrone’s face was shown on the jumbotron as McLaughlin’s face visibly lit up. She later told NBC that having him in the crowd “means everything” to her.
“[He is] my best friend. My biggest supporter and my personal pastor,” she gushed. “I love him more than life itself.”
The track queen will be taking the 2026 season off to prepare for motherhood. She is expected to make a comeback in 2027, ahead of the LA 2028 Olympic Games, where she may compete in both the 400m and 400m hurdles events.
