World Leader Akani Simbine will aim to extend his Diamond League winning streak against a formidable field that includes former world champion Fred Kerley and Olympic 200m champion Letsile Tebogo in Rabat on Sunday, May 25.

The South African sprint legend undefeated in all his five outdoor 100m races this season, will face a huge test in Kerley, who has had some strokes of good runs in the past few weeks, highlighted by a Season's Best (SB) performance of 9.98s in California.

Simbine will stand as favourite for the win, being the world leader at 9.90s. However, the star-studded field of Kerley and Botswana's Tebogo, who conveniently won his last 200m race at the Doha Diamond League, will test his strength and form to build on for the rest of the season.

Also, not forgetting the rest of the field including Africa's fastest man in history Ferdinand Omanyala, Cameroon's Emmanuel Eseme, and USA's Brandon Hicklin, can pose a major challenge.

Simbine is brewing in so much confidence considering he is arguably in the best shape of his career, having defeated Olympic silver medallist Kishane Thompson in Xiamen, and if successful against another formidable field in Rabat, will confirm he has beaten almost all his rivals this season, apart from world's fastest man Noah Lyles who he is yet to race this year.

With the season in its active stage, the winner of this race will be highly rated as a medal contender at the World Championships in Tokyo this summer.
