Real Madrid achieves new La Liga feat for first time in over a decade

Real Madrid continued their dominant run of form on Saturday night with a commanding 4–0 victory over Valencia at the Santiago Bernabéu, securing their 10th consecutive La Liga home win, a feat they last achieved more than ten years ago.

Under the guidance of new manager Xabi Alonso, Los Blancos have turned the Bernabéu into a fortress once again, playing with precision, power, and purpose.

The result extends Madrid’s perfect home record in the 2025/26 season and confirms their place at the top of the La Liga standings.

The win against Valencia marks Real Madrid’s longest home winning run in La Liga since 2013, when the club went on a 14-game streak spanning the end of José Mourinho’s tenure and the beginning of Carlo Ancelotti’s first spell in charge.

Interestingly, the streak began back in April 2025, with a narrow 1–0 victory over Athletic Club. Since then, Madrid have brushed aside every visitor to the Bernabéu, a complete turnaround from April 2024, when Valencia were the last team to beat them at home.

Alonso’s appointment has rejuvenated the team. The Spanish tactician has now led Real Madrid to six straight home wins in La Liga since taking charge, while maintaining an impeccable all-competition record of 13 wins from 14 matches.

The only blemish came in the 5–2 derby defeat to Atlético Madrid, but his team have since bounced back with authority, winning six games in a row and scoring 16 goals while conceding just two.

Alonso’s Madrid have combined tactical discipline with creative flair, showcasing a style that blends his own playing philosophy with the attacking DNA of the club.

Following a disappointing 2024/25 campaign, Real Madrid look revived and ready to compete for every title once again.

They currently top the La Liga table and remain unbeaten in the Champions League league phase, standing as one of five teams with a perfect record in the competition.

After reaching the semifinals of the 2025 Club World Cup, Madrid’s resurgence under Alonso has reaffirmed their place among Europe’s elite.
