The Bundesliga champions are keen on filling a vacant centre-forward spot this season and see Kane as a better value-for-money alternative than other transfer targets, including Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani, who are expected to cost upward of €100 million.

The Bavarians have seen two bids for the England international rejected after failing to match Tottenham’s valuation of their captain and could struggle to complete a deal with a new rival for his signature arising.

According to the Daily Mail, PSG have also made their intentions for Kane known after an executive from the club met with Tottenham owner Daniel Levy to discuss a possible transfer for the England international.

The French giants appear to be making plans for the potential departure of star forward Kylian Mbappe, who is in a similar situation to Kane contract-wise and could leave the club this summer.

Although Kane has just one year left on his contract with Tottenham, the club are unwilling to sell him for less than their valuation and hope that a bidding war will force one of the clubs to match their price, although they risk losing him on a free transfer.
