Pep Guardiola says Osimhen’s Napoli are the best in Europe

The Neapolitans have surprised many with their brand of football, which has led them to the verge of success in Italy.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has showered praises on Napoli, saying the Serie A club are the best side in Europe at the moment.

Napoli are currently flying high in the Italian top flight and the Champions League, with the side currently on course for a league and Champions League double. 

It is now a matter of when and not if Napoli will win the Italian Serie A title this season. Luciano Spalletti’s men are currently 18 points clear at the top of the table with 12 games left in the season. 

They also have one foot in the Champions League quarter-final ahead of their round of 16 second-leg meeting against Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday. 

A few of their players are also amongst the best in Europe this season, especially Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. 

Osimhen currently leads the scoring chart in Italy with 19 goals in 22 league games, while he also has another three in five Champions League matches. 

Meanwhile, Kvaratskhelia is proving to be the bargain of the season after scoring 11 goals and creating another nine in 22 league matches. 

Their performances have now caught the attention of Guardiola, who believes Napoli are the best team in Europe this season, 

“Napoli is probably one of the strongest teams in Europe in terms of playing style, they have similarities with Arsenal. And then Milan and Inter are back. I’m really pleased,” Guardiola told Sky Sports as per GIFN

However, Napoli’s success could come at a cost as Guardiola is reportedly set to raid the club for one of their players. 

Manchester City are reportedly set to battle Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain for the services of Osimhen.
