The holders pushed the Eastern Uganda side to the edge from the beginning and could’ve gone ahead as quickly as the second minute, but URA FC’s right back Justine Opiro mistimed his effort.

They were not to be denied five minutes later when Opiro rose high to meet Ronald Madoi’s header.

Madoi plays for Wakiso Giants in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League as well as the Uganda under-20 national team.

Police FC striker Abdul Nsereko doubled the lead two minutes later off Olimi Nyara’s corner.

Kitende continued to push through. Nsereko darted to the byline, controlled and cut back for Opiro but the pass found him in a tight situation.

He controlled and flicked with a back heel to set up Hakim Mutebi to thunder in the 17th minute.

The Daniel Male side stepped up for the fourth, which came at the half-hour mark, with Oloya setting up Nyara with a nice header.
