Paul Kilani joins Liga MX club Querétaro FC on loan from Atlantic Business FC
The 20-year old joins QFC on a one-year loan deal with an option to buy in what is even more proof of ABFC’s long-term player development and international exposure strategy.
Querétaro FC’s reputation as a traditional Mexican top flight team offers Kilani the chance to strut his stuff on the big stage with high level football, following in the footsteps of world football superstars like Ronaldinho and Antonio Valencia who have previously played for the club.

Over three seasons, Dimeji has scored a total of 64 goals and registered 31 assists across all competitions he's featured for the club
He joins QFC who are looking to shake off a poor start to the Liga MX season with one draw and two losses in their first three games and only one goal scored, with hopes of breathing new life into the attack.
WHAT IS BEING SAID ABOUT DIMEJI KILANI’S BIG MOVE
The big move serves as a breakthrough moment in a story of persistence and consistency following previous failed attempts including trials in Latvia and appearances at the Viareggio Cup, the player himself expressed his gratitude.
“I want to say a big thank you to ABFC for everything they’ve done. The support, the love, the motivation, the way they push me to reach my limits. I want to say thank you to the coaches, the staff and everyone that has helped me so far, I will make them all proud” Dimeji said.
ABFC President, Henry Obinna also shared his delight on the completion of the move, “Dimeji is one of the best young players in Nigeria, he should be playing at national team level with the Flying Eagles or the Olympics Team at least. That’s the level of his talent and that is the upside to a transfer like this to a top club in North American football, it comes with a lot of exposure both for the player and everyone else.”
“He’s a great football talent but also a good young lad, I’m sure he will represent us well and grab this opportunity to play top flight football in a reputable league like the Liga MX with a tested and trusted pipeline to the highest levels of football, I am very happy about it,” The president added.
DIMEJI KILANI BECOMES THE FIRST NIGERIAN AT QFC
Beyond Borders Agency’s Director, Joel Biselenge expressed his thrill about Kilani’s integration, “Since his arrival, he’s been remarkable according to QFC’s owner Marc Spiegel.
He’s had the opportunity to train with the first team already and made sure he left his footprint by scoring bicycle kicks - it will take some time to adapt to the environment but we have no doubt that the impact will be huge once he finds his marks”.
He went on and added “Since the summer 2025, we’ve been working on the right opportunity for Dimeji - we’re excited about concluding this deal with a club connected to the MLS, La Liga and Serie A. Dimeji has the opportunity to make history by being the 1st Nigerian player to shine in Liga MX before continuing his career in football’s Top 5 leagues“
