Just days after Odion Ighalo stunned fans by signing renowned Nigerian preacher Jerry Eze to his Saudi Pro League club Al-Wehda, the former Super Eagles striker has pulled off another surprise.

Ighalo has taken to social media to share photos of a meeting with some of the highest-ranking members of the Nigeria Police Force.

The former Manchester United striker again shared the special moments with the force leaders on his Instagram. 

“A privilege to meet with the Inspector General Of The Nigeria Police Force, IGP Kayode Egbetokun And FPRO ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi,' Ighalo posted on Instagram. 'Thank you for the warm reception and the gifts.”

The 35-year-old, who scored 15 goals last season, got praises for his meeting and the partnership with Pastor Jerry Eze which could bring some divine intervention to help his club challenge for top honours in the Saudi Pro League.

However, it seems the forward alliance with the Nigerian Police hasn’t gone down well with some sections of his followers given the discontent in the comment section.

Ighalo, who earned 35 caps for the Super Eagles, is wasting no time in using his platform to forge strong connections back home in Nigeria.
